Register for Sufi School East

 

Sufi School begins officially at 1:30 pm (after lunch) on Friday 9/1.  Everyone is invited to join us in celebrating ‘Eid al Adha on Friday morning at 9:30 am, followed by an ‘Eid feast (lunch). 

TUITION

We encourage everyone to attend the entire event! Each day builds on the previous day’s teachings. To receive the most benefit from the retreat, please plan to attend all three full days! We invite you to stay until Monday noon, when we end with our wrap-up session. Breakfast and lunch will be served Monday.

Basic Tuition: The cost for the entire event (Fri – Mon.) is $295 per person. If you are unable to attend the entire event, the tuition is $125/day for Sat/Sun and $65/day for Fri/Mon.

Newcomers Tuition: FREE, if you attend the whole program. Meals and lodging rates apply. Officially begins Saturday, 9/2 at 8:30 am, but there will be Path of Love classes Friday afternoon beginning at 1:30 for those who would like to join us then.  Friday attendance is not required for the free tuition offer.

If you are a newcomer, but do not wish to attend the Path of Love program, tuition for the whole event is $295, or $125/day Sat and Sun, $65/day for Fri and Mon. See more Information:Sufi School East Newcomers’ Program Link.

Young adults (18-24 years old) can attend tuition-free, but pay for meals and lodging.

Teens aged 13-17 pay for meals only ($30/day).

Scholarships and work-study credit are available to defray tuition and meal costs. See Workstudy information below. For scholarships, please email registration1@suficentereast.org. No one will be turned away for lack of funds!

 

MEALS

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served on site. Breakfast is $11, lunch is $16, and dinner is $18. Meals are free of charge for children 5 and under. Meals for children 6-12 are $13 per day. Teen 13-17 meals are $30/day. Our meals are lovingly prepared with fresh, usually organic, ingredients and halal meats, some grown right here on our farm. We also provide some vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options at every meal.

 

YOUTH PROGRAM

CHILDREN ages 3 (must be potty trained)- 12. There’s no charge, but please register your children so we can have appropriate supervision planned. Donations gratefully accepted.

TEENS: Age appropriate activities, teachings and service.

Please note: If you choose not to have your children participate in the program, you must provide supervision for them at all times. The Farm of Peace is a working farm, and it is not safe for children or teens to wander around unsupervised. Our staff will not be able to supervise or accommodate those who are not part of the Youth Program. Questions? kidsprogram@suficentereast.org

 

ACCOMMODATIONS

There are several local hotels and motels as well as camping available, and men’s and women’s dorms. When the dorms are full, we set up a wait list. See Sufi School East Accommodations Information link for hotel options.

 

AIRPORT SHUTTLES

For information about airport shuttles contact shuttles@suficentereast.org. You have the option of registering for a shuttle to/from the airport during the registration process.

Another option from BWI, and Baltimore and Frederick MD train and bus stations is the Bayrunner, which runs twice a day and stops in Hancock, MD, 15 minutes from the Farm of Peace. See more information at the Bayrunner Shuttle website and on the registration form.

 

WORK-STUDY

Work-study is available for a portion of your tuition. If you would like to do work-study, registration is a two-step process. First, read about work-study here. If you have questions or wish to arrange work-study, please contact workstudy@suficentereast.org.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS

This online registration will be processed through PayPal and you can pay by credit card, debit card or bank draft. You may also opt to pay by check.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

Upon written request to the registrar by 09/17/17, we will provide a refund of the amount you paid, less a $50 administrative fee per person. Send your written request to Farm of Peace, 1212 Haven Lane, Warfordsburg, PA 17267, or email registration1@suficentereast.org.
